| The men of FCCNH are a varied group of individuals unified by a hunger for Spirit driven Service, Education, and Adventure. We gather on the first Saturday of every month to share, explore and serve our church's mission statement in our own creative ways. Come and immerse yourself in the fellowship! |

1. CAMARADERIE - shared humor or
simple readings from light hearted writings.
2. COMMITMENT - prayers for unity and strength for our fellowship and our Church. 3. CONFIDENTIALITY - a time to say "I am having a problem and need to be pointed in the right direction." This includes marriage and family counseling, drug or alcohol intervention, personal crisis management, etc. We will collate a calling list for crisis intervention and counseling resources. These needs can also be presented on confidential cards, much like our prayer cards, to retain the privacy of the individual in need. We will not attempt group therapy, but offer group and/or individual support. 4. CONNECTIVITY - "I need a recommendation for a good computer temp worker, baby-sitter, carpenter, bodyguard, bonsai gardener, film editor, catering service, etc." “I’m a college student interested in interning in my field.” An opportunity to pool our knowledge and skills through referral and assistance. 5. CAREERS - Mostly free form discussion, dealing with continually changing work models, interaction w/ bosses, agents or colleagues, handling career changes or ageism issues, planning for college and retirement funding, tips and tricks for surviving a multi-tasking society in the new millennium. Occasional speakers, books referred, possible visit from someone who offers a computerized test like "The Attentional & Interpersonal Style" inventory and team building program for self-assessment. 6. CONFIDENCE - Sharing confidence building tools, books and personal affirmations. Everything from self-image at home to public image and self-esteem as a Christian in today’s working world. Support for single, divorced men or widowers in dealing with issues of moving forward as an individual. Simply sharing the knowledge that there is someone to call and a place to come. 7. COOPERATIVE SERVICE - which might include using part or all of our allotted meeting time, on occasion, to scrape and paint, do minor repairs, move heavy items around the facility, reach out to the community for donations of equipment ranging from computers to sound reinforcement, music or lighting equipment, etc. This would be one more place other ministries within the Church can come and say, "We need your help." |
