Children & Youth Ministries

Child Care
We offer Childcare for infants – 2 years old during the Sunday 10am service. Our 5:30pm service is child-friendly and you are welcome to bring your whole family to the service.

Sunday School Classes
Each Sunday, we offer Sunday School for children ages 2 years - High School during the 10am worship service. The 2–3 year olds go directly to the classroom. The 4 year olds – 12th graders join their parents for the beginning part of the service and will be dismissed after the Children’s message for Sunday School. Parents pick their children up from their Sunday School classrooms after church.

Youth Groups
The youth groups are an important part of the life of First Christian Church of North Hollywood. Our goal is to provide a place for young people to come and feel accepted for who they are as children of God. In addition to regular meetings, the Youth attend camps together and serve the community through various mission activities. They also participate in the life of the greater church, serving as deacons and even leading us in worship on Youth Sundays. They raise funds for outreach activities and host social events as well.

Chi Rho
The group is open to all middle-school aged youth in grades 6th - 8th. They meet from 5:30-7:30pm on Sunday evenings in the Annex for fun and fellowship. The emphasis is on laying groundwork of faith and friendship that our young people can build on in the years ahead.

For more information, please contact Justin Floyd, Director of Middle School Ministries, through the office, at justin.floyd@cst.edu or at (817) 366-5196. It's a Texas number because his family is still willing to pay for his phone!

Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF)
The group is open to all young people in grades 9th - 12th. They meet Sunday nights in the Youth Hut between 5:30-7:30pm for fellowship, study and various fun activities. Mission work and service to the community are also an integral part of the CYF experience.

Friday Night Life
This is a bi-weekly parent’s night out for children who are potty trained – 8th grade. Kids in diapers are welcome to attend with their parents. We meet in the Annex or Social Hall (depending on availability) and have dinner, play in the playground, and then enjoy entertainment or a movie. All kids will eat together and then the Tweens (4th thru 8th grade) meet in the Youth Hut and watch a separate movie while the others stay and watch in the Annex/Social Hall. Younger kids are welcome to wear pajamas and bring a sleeping bag for a sleepover effect. 5:30pm to 8:00pm. The program is staffed by the Director of Children’s Ministries and a rotation of parent volunteers. There is a $5 donation per child to help cover the cost of food and entertainment, but please don't let lack of funds prevent your child from attending! Please see the calendar for upcoming dates or contact Christi Anderson at christianderson6249@yahoo.com for more information.
