THE
PLAY
This laugh-filled musical, based on the legendary Joan Crawford cult western, embraces and sends up fifties-style movie acting, melo-dramatic romance and rough-and-tumble cowboy action. Featuring a sensational score with echoes of doo-wop and steamy southwestern ballads, Johnny Guitar tells the story of a sultry saloon keeper and her jealous nemesis, the town's tycoon. When a handsome stranger with a secret past rides into town, the stage is set for a hilarious showdown unike anything the Old West - or the theatre - has ever seen!
| THE CAST |
MARIN VAN VLECK (Vienna)
Marin is happy to be in this musical that pays tribute to the cult classic Joan Crawford film of the same name. How can you not love a movie star (Joan Crawford) who said, “I think the most important thing a woman can have – next to talent, of course, is – her hairdresser.”? Some of Marin’s previous Los Angeles theatre roles include the heroine in the World Premiere of Angel’s Flight; Nonnie in the successful hit comedy, The Poseidon Adventure, The Musical; and the tortured-in-love Catherine in Wuthering Heights. She was just seen in Moving Arts’ The Car Plays at The Steve Allen Theatre, and has appeared on TV shows such as Cold Case and Passions. Big juicy kisses to her loved ones.
