This Lenten Meditation Booklet is a gift to you from the Elders of your church.  During the two high holy seasons of the church year, Advent and Lent, the Elders provide you with appropriate meditations to help make the season even more meaningful.  The Lenten Season begins on Ash Wednesday, February 28th and concludes six weeks later on Easter morning. 

The meditations in this booklet were written not only by serving Elders but also by several others in our church family who have, through the years, written for these booklets.  I hope you will set aside a time each day during the Lenten Season to read and quietly reflect on the meditation of the day.  I know that if you discipline yourself to this spiritual task, your life and your faith will be stronger and the season will mean more than ever before.

Special thanks to Jacqui Dixon, Jim and Melinda McInerney, and Kirsten Tellez for their hours of dedicated work in editing and publishing the 2001 Lenten Booklet.  Thanks also to all those who responded to the call and wrote Lenten meditations while we were still celebrating the Christmas Season.  These were all acts of love and devotion for our church and our church family.
