Sheri
Izzard is a singer, songwriter, actress and music teacher all rolled into
one. After twenty years in Kansas City of live performance with her own
jazz trios, vocal quartets, bands, and recording studio vocals, all the
while teaching music through the public school system and private lessons,
she married her former jingle producer, David Izzard who was located in
Los Angeles. LA and First Christian Church of North Hollywood her home.
Her credits include background vocals and screen appearances for movies and television among which are Ice Age, Spiderman, Sister Act, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Behind Enemy Lines, Celine Dion’s “God Bless America” (Sept. 2001), Don’t Say a Word, Academy Awards 2000, Time of Your Life, King of Queens, Galaxy Quest, A Bug’s Life, Anastasia, Armageddon, Mission Impossible, Batman Returns, Backdraft, What’s Love Got to Do With It?, The Simpsons, Days of Our Lives, Good Morning America, Regis and Kathie Lee among others, as well as national and regional commercial work. She has sung background vocals on Christmas albums for Linda Ronstadt, Amy Grant and Harry Connick, and is active in A Cappella vocal performance groups in LA. She is also a songwriter in various venues. She has participated in FCCNH Advent Theater productions, among which are Entertainment II, I’ve Heard That Song Before and Ancestral Voices; she remains active in the Chancel Choir, has recently served two years on the FCCNH Board as Secretary, and looks forward to building the new Youth Choir on Sunday mornings, participating the after-school the music program (as a part of Logos) and Summer Music Camp and Bible School Music in 2002. |
