the 70's, he conducted and was musical director for Doug Henning's The

In 1997, Stephen won an Emmy for Best Musical Direction in a Daytime Drama for his work on Days of Our Lives.
He is currently music minister for the First Christian Church of North Hollywood and serves on the board for the Southwest Regional Association of Disciple Musicians. Steve's wife of 23 years, Gilmer McCormick of Godspell fame, and their two children live in the San Fernando Valley.

"I had always been moved by the profound spiritual effect Godspell had
on its audiences and had been searching for a way to use my musical talents
to serve God. After meeting Jon and Susan, the way became clear. We sang,
laughed, played and prayed. We explored the Bible and our faith. It was
during this period we began to have feelings that there was some higher
purpose in our closeness. This, combined with a growing restlessness and
need to return to God the fruits of our talents, led us to a decision to
devote our lives to His service - to "Do What We Came To Do." In 1993,
we performed our first concert at our beloved church for our families,
friends and congregation. The response was so overwhelming, we knew we
had done the right thing, and Harbinger was born."
