| The
FCCNH Youth Program consists of two groups. Chi Rho, our middle school
youth group, is for kids in grades 6 thru 8 and meets Tuesday evenings.
CYF, our high school group, is for young people in grades 9 thru 12, and
holds their meetings on Sunday nights.
The FCCNH Youth
Program is a place where
-
our teenagers
lift up, encourage and strengthen each other.
-
they explore the
meaning of faith through the example of Jesus Christ.
-
where they reflect
God’s love for them through service to others.
-
where they seek
out and welcome all who wish to join their communion with God and with
each other.

Chi
Rho (grades 6-8)
Tuesday nights:
4 pm open study in Youth Hut, 4:30 to 5:30 pm Logos dinner, 5:30 to 7:30
Meeting. |
CYF
(grades
9-12)
Sunday nights
from 6:45 to 8:45. |
| We spend the first
hour with the elementary kids in the Logos program and share a meal.
This provides an opportunity for the Chi Rhoers to serve as mentors to
these younger kids, a task that's rewarding and fun. Then we have
our own meeting where we talk about what's going on in our lives and how
God is there to help. |
Each week, we meet
for fun, fellowship and service. We use this time together to talk,
to learn and to try and figure out what God's plan is for our lives. |
| CYF and Chi Rho
often take part in the Sunday morning service and have regular meetings
with Pastor Bob.
Plans for the year
include a retreat and the annual Christmas tree lot
sleepover as well as Regional events like the Unity walk, Feb camp and
the Survivor weekend.
Our Youth groups
are open to all young people, grades 6-12. Church membership is not
a requirement. Each group offers an accepting, friendly environment
where our young people can play and pray together. We play games,
read scripture, and do crafts. We also take outings to places like
Magic Mountain, Disneyland, the Kern River for whitewater
rafting. We also serve others by participating in programs such
as the Interfaith Food Pantry, whose distribution
center is housed at FCCNH.
It's a lot of fun
and we LOVE to have new people join us. So come and find out what
we're all about! |
