Worship In Person

Worship with us at First Christian Church of North Hollywood

10:00 am on Sundays in the Sanctuary

What to Expect: You will find a diverse, friendly community that welcomes all. We welcome ALL just as Jesus did with no limitations. At this family-oriented service, dynamic preaching is combined with wonderful music from our Chancel with Adult and Youth Choirs featuring a blend of classical, rousing gospel, and inspirational contemporary music. The great traditional hymns, accompanied by our 71-rank Rogers pipe organ, are always sung, but on any given Sunday you may be invited to sing or hear more recent Christian music as well.

We celebrate communion every week. Anyone who hungers and thirsts for a closer relationship with God and their neighbor may participate in this experience. Our movement began because some were excluded from communion over 200 years ago, so this invitation to all is vital to our community!

Most Sundays there is a fellowship time with coffee and snacks following worship in our Social Hall. There are two ways to go to the Social Hall (one inside and the other outside). The inside stairs have a chair lift to ensure that all can be part of this special community-building time.

Children worship with their parents at the beginning of the service and participate in the Children’s Message before leaving for their Sunday School classes.  Nursery care is always provided by a trained and attentive staff. You may also keep your child in the sanctuary during worship.

Please know that our worship is just the beginning of our story. Worship is not an end in itself. It is a time to gather together as God's beloved to remind ourselves or to hear for the first time who and whose we are. God made us to be in community. From there, we serve our world to make it closer to God's dream for creation.
